This could be reassuring for some Golden Globe viewers, given the backlash faced by last year’s host, Jo Koy, during his monologue around this same time.

From her earlier remarks, it’s clear that Nikki Glaser dedicated considerable time and energy to her preparation for the show. In seeking guidance, she consulted with experienced hosts such as Ricky Gervais, who famously has a provocative style.
