Long-standing American Idol music advisor Robin Kaye and her spouse, Thomas Deluca, tragically lost their lives in what appears to be a double murder incident.
Yesterday afternoon, around 2:30 PM, I found myself responding to a welfare concern at a residence situated on White Oak Avenue in Encino, as per my role with the Los Angeles Police Department, according to reports made by The Hollywood Reporter.
Upon stepping inside the house, a pair, comprising a man and a woman, were found suffering from what appeared to be gunshot injuries. Subsequently, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and pronounced the couple deceased at the location.
The LAPD representative was unable to disclose the identities of the pair involved, however, they did mention that an investigation into a suspected homicide case continues. At this point, no names of potential suspects or any related arrests concerning the double murder probe have been made public.
TMZ was the first to report that the couple was Kaye and Deluca.
Kaye, who has a long-standing career in music reality series, spent over two decades (from 2002 to 2023) working as a producer in the music department at American Idol. Besides her role at American Idol, she also contributed as a music supervisor on other projects such as Lip Sync Battle, After the Sunset, The Singing Bee, and Q’Viva!: The Chosen.
She kick-started her professional journey within the music industry, particularly on the record label and artist management sector. Initially, she worked for Waylon Jennings in Nashville, later moving to MTM Records where she focused on artist development. Over time, Kaye transitioned into the film and TV licensing department at MCA-Universal Records, eventually advancing to oversee the music licensing division at PolyGram Records.
In the year 2000, Kaye established her personal business, SyncroniCity, which served as a platform for artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Kenny Loggins, Lang Lang, Donnie Osmond, and Steven Bishop. This venture eventually propelled her into the field of music supervision.
Deluca is known for being both a songwriter and a musician. As per his official site, his latest album titled “Street Rock” came out in the year 2022.
