Another member of Blue Bloods’ Reagan family is headed north to Boston.
Actress Bridget Moynahan will once again play her role as Erin Reagan in the debut episode of “Boston Blue,” a series inspired by Erin’s brother Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), who transitions from New York to Boston. Later in the season, Moynahan is expected to direct an episode of this new show; she has previously overseen three episodes of “Blue Bloods.”
Here’s another way:

In the series titled “Boston Blue,” we follow the character of Danny, who departs from the NYPD and joins the Boston police force. His new partner is Detective Lena Silver, portrayed by Sonequa Martin-Green, who, like Danny, hails from a prestigious law enforcement background. Maggie Lawson, Marcus Scribner, Gloria Reuben, Ernie Hudson, and Mika Amonsen are among the cast members; Mika Amonsen’s role is that of Danny’s son Sean, now serving as a patrol officer with the Boston PD (previously played by Andrew Terraciano on “Blue Bloods”).
The series titled “Boston Blue” hails from CBS Studios. Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis, known for their work on shows like “The Blacklist” and “Alert: Missing Persons Unit,” serve as showrunners and executive producers. They are joined in this role by Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed of Jerry Bruckheimer Television, along with Mark Wahlberg. The series is slated to debut on the night that was previously home to “Blue Bloods” starting October 17.
