According to Variety, Russell Rothberg is set to write, produce, and oversee Swan Song as its showrunner, with the aim of finding a distributor. Rothberg’s previous works include the hit A&E series Bates Motel, Apple TV’s Foundation, and the recent Peacock limited series Long Bright River. Moreover, Walking Dead veteran Greg Nicotero is also joining the project. Not only will he serve as an executive producer through Monster Agency Productions, but he will also direct the pilot episode.
