Disney+ subscribers shouldn’t expect a lot of brand new shows and movies in February 2026. While Marvel fans have three new releases to look forward to, Star Wars fans are still waiting for news about original content, aside from the movie The Mandalorian & Grogu coming out in May.
As a big Disney+ fan, I was a little bummed to read the news for February 2026. Apparently, it’s going to be a pretty slow month for new content. The official Disney+ blog confirmed there won’t be any new Marvel or Star Wars shows or movies dropping, and honestly, there just aren’t a lot of other big releases planned either. It sounds like we’ll have to dig a bit deeper into the library that month!
The biggest Disney+ release in February is coming on the 4th with The Muppet Show. This special celebrates the show’s 50th anniversary and could lead to a new series. It’s executive produced by Seth Rogen and features a performance with musical artist Sabrina Carpenter.
Fans of the Hulu series The Artful Dodger, a spin-off of the classic Oliver Twist, can look forward to Season 2 premiering on February 10th. The new season will feature eight more episodes of the historical crime drama, continuing the story in 19th-century Australia.
Fans of Phineas and Ferb are in for a treat! After the news of a third movie, the show is coming back with a new short as part of the Cartoonified series on February 13th. This short will feature a special appearance by basketball superstar LeBron James. He joins other guest stars like Walker Scobell, known for Percy Jackson, and popular YouTuber Mark Rober.
It’s not quite clear why Disney+ has so few new releases scheduled for February. However, it could be because they released Wonder Man at the very end of January and have Daredevil: Born Again coming out in March, giving viewers a bit of a breather between major shows.
What’s Next for Marvel & Star Wars on Disney+?

If Disney+ viewers can pace themselves and not watch all eight episodes of the new Marvel series Wonder Man when it premieres on January 27th, they’ll likely have more episodes of the satirical comedy to look forward to in February.
As a critic, I’m thrilled to report that Marvel is bringing back that gritty, mature tone fans loved with Daredevil: Born Again – and surprisingly soon, hitting Disney+ in March! But that’s not all. Later in the year, we’re getting a whole wave of animated goodness with X-Men ’97 and Season 2 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Plus, they’ve got VisionQuest in the works and a special focusing on The Punisher. It’s shaping up to be a really packed year for Marvel on Disney+.
As a Star Wars fan, I’m really looking forward to what Lucasfilm has planned this year! We’re getting more Ahsoka with Season 2 of the live-action series, and that’s huge. Plus, they’re continuing the story with a 3D animated sequel to The Clone Wars called Maul: Shadow Lord, which should be fantastic. And don’t forget the anime spin-off, Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi! Honestly, though, Lucasfilm is keeping us guessing about when any of these projects will actually arrive. We’re all eager, but right now, it’s hard to say when we’ll get to see them.
