Best Parts

In a unique twist on public domain projects-turned-horror flicks, this film takes the whimsical concept of pixie dust causing transformations and flips it into a terrifying nightmare. From a diehard slasher perspective, it delivers effectively, with the antagonist designed to use their weapon frequently rather than relying on random props. The result is an engaging slasher film, neither excessively gory nor attempting to surpass the greats in the genre.

Worst Parts

If you’ve grown weary of watching public domain horror films, this won’t encourage you to reconsider your decision. In some parts, the second half of the movie might seem hurried or incomplete.

Final ThoughtsHook is a fun, wacky public domain horror movie.
