‘Just Smother Me Or Something’: Megan Fox Was Pushed Into Looking Back At Old Movie Interviews, And It’s Peak Cringe

Re-watching archived clips can bring joy to fans, but the entertainer may not share the same sentiment. Megan Fox‘s experience of being compelled to attend red carpet events for ‘Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen’, for instance, was not particularly pleasant for her. It’s undeniable that she feels awkward revisiting those interviews on the red carpet, but in truth, it wasn’t as bad as she might think now.

All of the current Megan Fox happenings aside, the star sat down with Entertainment Tonight to jump back into old interviews she had done. Via their Instagram post, a Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen clip made the cut. And while it’s not one of the coolest Megan Fox movies, she still made her mark in the film.

The actress who starred in “New Girl” expressed mixed emotions upon viewing herself on the red carpet at the 2004 Disney movie premiere. Anticipating the footage, she appeared apprehensive about revisiting that nostalgic moment. As soon as the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” co-star caught sight of the interview, her face showed distress, describing her immediate reaction thusly:

No. Please don’t make me listen to myself. What am I fucking talking about?

To be frank, I don’t find it too problematic. When you consider it alongside certain styles from the late ’90s and early ’00s, it seems quite acceptable. And with Megan Fox remaining unchanged as the Megan Fox we know, she has no reason to fret.

The Expend4bles actress then dove into her appearance, claiming it was awful.

What am I wearing? What is that necklace? Look at my hair and makeup. It’s so bad.

For the style of the early 2000s, the 38-year-old perfectly embodied that era, sporting fashionable hairstyles and makeup, slim eyebrows, and trendy accessories. However, it easily could’ve appeared quite outdated or awkward.

Megan Fox noted that her speaking style remains unchanged after twenty-one years, which she found remarkable, expressing it excitedly.

I continue to speak like that, which is quite frightening. My voice doesn’t sound mature or feminine at all. Check out my eyebrows. What the heck? Where are my eyebrows? When will this end? Ugh, I wish I could just disappear. Please, can someone just end this? Why are you putting me through this? Just suffocate me or something.

The actress from “This is 40” sounds a bit pained in her voice. Even the harshest critics often turn out to be ourselves, but as a fan, I don’t think Megan Fox should give too much thought to that old video clip. She’s consistently been one of the most popular, admired, and attractive actresses of her generation. The fact that her scary sexy robot movie has remained successful on Netflix during the holidays shows its lasting appeal.

In the midst of challenges like acknowledging subservience and dealing with awkward moments, she’s had a particularly tumultuous year. Towards the end of last year, the actress from Jennifer’s Body and her long-term partner, Machine Gun Kelly, announced their first pregnancy, only to split around Thanksgiving. Currently, following their recent breakup, Kourtney Kardashian is providing support and care for Fox during her final months of pregnancy. The Transformers actress is expected to give birth in March 2025, but she has been mostly silent about the situation. In contrast, her ex, Brian Austin Green, has expressed disapproval of Machine Gun Kelly’s recent decisions.

Regarding whatever lies ahead for Fox, such as her baby’s arrival, I have no doubt it will be anything other than awkward. In the future, if she consents to revisit past interviews, perhaps she’ll adopt a different perspective. The footage might be intriguing or surprising, but at this moment, there’s nothing that warrants her overly emotional responses.
