10 Dragon Ball Gods Goku Now Easily Beats

In Dragon Ball, gods are portrayed unlike any other anime I’ve come across. Instead of being solemn, ancient beings with unfathomable power, they’re just ordinary folks who, by some twist of fate, have “god” as their job title – and let me tell you, they’re quite the characters! They’re often absurd and inept, which isn’t exactly a recipe for strength when compared to our heroic characters. It’s no wonder these gods don’t pack much of a punch!

In the anime series Dragon Ball Super, Goku continues his journey towards outmatching Beerus, yet he has already grown much stronger than numerous deities. This enhancement in power can be attributed to his training under them. He has transcended planetary gods, universal gods, and is even edging past certain Gods of Destruction. As the Dragon Ball Super manga progresses, it’s conceivable that no god may surpass Goku in strength by its end.

Dende’s Power Doesn’t Show Itself Through Combat

In comparison to Goku, Dende has never been stronger at any stage of his life, serving as Earth’s protector. However, as a god, Dende certainly isn’t weak. In contrast to Kami, Dende proves to be a more valuable asset and boasts superior abilities among the Z-Fighters.

As a member of the Dragon Clan on Namek, Dende possesses the ability to mend and manufacture Dragon Balls. Unlike Kami, who was also a martial artist, Dende demonstrates his superiority through his skill in crafting more potent Dragon Balls. While Kami’s Dragon Balls could only grant one wish at a time and had limitations on resurrection, Dende’s Dragon Balls have fewer restrictions, if any.

King Yemma Has Never Displayed His Full Strength

King Yemma seems to possess a sense of underestimation regarding his power. As the overseer of the afterlife, it’s his responsibility to decide the fate of souls, sending them either to Heaven or Hell, and enforce these decisions. However, his role often appears more comedic than competent, suggesting a lack of skill in combat rather than the powerful figure one might expect.

Yemma, the character from Dragon Ball, gains significantly due to the fact that villains in this series usually don’t retain their physical forms upon death. Although Yemma once managed to restrain Raditz, it’s important to note that the version of him at that time pales in comparison to the one who overpowered Goku and Piccolo. While Yemma isn’t a complete pushover, he is still weaker than every god confirmed to be ranked higher than him.

King Kai Couldn’t Make Goku Strong Enough to Defeat Vegeta

In every dimension within the Dragon Ball multiverse, there exist four celestial beings: a North Deity, a South Deity, an East Deity, and a West Deity. Each of these divine entities monitors a distinct quadrant of their respective universe. However, due to the nature of the mortals in each universe, it can be assumed that their roles are largely insignificant.

At one time, it was depicted that Universe 7’s North Kai, more commonly known as King Kai, held the highest power in existence. However, it’s fortunate that this notion was later debunked, as King Kai lacked the power to support such a claim. During the Saiyan Saga, he was explicitly shown to be weaker than Nappa, and he struggled to train Goku to only half the strength of Vegeta.

Grand Kai’s Tenuous Canonicity Keeps His Screentime Limited

Prior to the introduction of the Supreme Kai in the Dragon Ball manga, Grand Kai was introduced in Dragon Ball Z. Much like the Supreme Kais, Grand Kai plays a similar role. Although he is technically canonical, having been mentioned in the manga, his overlapping function has limited his screen time beyond his initial appearances to minimal levels. Nevertheless, one can infer his position within the hierarchy by comparing him to the Supreme Kais.

In their universe, Grand Kai is the most powerful among the four Kais. The North Kai, South Kai, East Kai, and West Kai all regard him with great respect, recognizing his superior strength. However, when they first encountered each other, Goku had already surpassed Grand Kai in power level.

Goku Was Already Far Stronger Than Supreme Kai When They First Met

In every universe, just like there are four regular Kais organized across quadrants, there exist four Supreme Kais as well. Notably, in Dragon Ball, the most significant Supreme Kai is Nahare. At his initial appearance, he possessed the power to defeat Frieza with a single punch. However, it’s important to note that he was significantly weaker than Goku at that time.

Among all the Supreme Kais I’ve witnessed, none, save for Nahare, have displayed strength surpassing his. Notably, Nahare serves as the acting Grand Supreme Kai of Universe 7, a role he assumed following the unfortunate demise of the other four Supreme Kais and the original Grand Supreme Kai, all fallen at the hands of Kid Buu. Given Goku’s staggering power growth in ‘Dragon Ball Super’, it seems plausible that he could vanquish Kid Buu with a solitary blow.

Kibito Kai is a Fusion of Supreme Kai and Kibito

In Dragon Ball, Fusion is an incredibly potent technique. It doesn’t matter if the original characters are not very powerful; once they fuse, the resulting character is always exceptionally strong. For instance, Nahare and Kibito fusing to become Kibito Kai demonstrates this power.

In the debates about the most powerful characters in Dragon Ball Z, Kibito Kai is frequently overlooked, but he certainly warrants a mention. Despite the fact that he never engages in combat and exists primarily for comedic relief, only Vegito, Gotenks, Gohan, and Goku were stronger during the Buu Saga. It’s important to note that even if Kibito and Nahara ever fused again, Kibito Kai would be rendered ineffective at that time.

Zamasu isn’t Nearly as Much of a Threat As Other Versions of Himself

In the entire series of Dragon Ball, no villain has posed a greater threat or been as formidable as Zamasu. However, due to time travel complications, there are several versions of Zamasu, and not all are equally powerful. The primary timeline’s version of Zamasu is extraordinarily strong, stronger than any other Kai in his rank, but even he was surpassed by Goku.

In their intense battle, the Apprentice Supreme Kai from Universe 10, Zamasu, demonstrates a level of power surpassing that of any other actual Supreme Kai. This fight takes place after Goku has been utilizing God ki for an extended period. Remarkably, even in his Super Saiyan 2 state, Goku is able to match him blow for blow. However, it’s important to note that Zamasu would have lost much sooner if Goku had engaged any of his stronger transformations.

Grand Supreme Kai Finally Showcased His Power in the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga

At the pinnacle of every universe’s hierarchy, just beside a universe’s Deity of Destruction, stands the Grand Supreme Kai. For quite some time, viewers held the belief that Grand Supreme Kais were weak, owing to Universe 7’s defeat against Kid Buu. However, it’s through the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga in Dragon Ball Super that fans have come to understand the true extent of their power.

A long time ago, before his battle with Buu, Grand Supreme Kai of Universe 7 faced off against the wicked sorcerer Moro in combat. Despite triumphing over him, the victory came at a great cost as he drained much of his own power. This weakness later allowed Buu to defeat him. Fast forward to the present day, having taken control of Fat Buu’s body from within, Grand Supreme Kai is now prepared to engage a Moro far more powerful than the one he had defeated many millions of years ago.

Toppo Can Erase Anything in His Path, But He Couldn’t Withstand the Final Explosion

Although Toppo isn’t officially a full god yet, he’s a contender for the role of a Destroyer of Worlds and is stronger than most gods in the multiverse. He’s the second strongest mortal in Universe 11 and was chosen by Belmod. During the Tournament of Power, he defeated Frieza and Android 17. When Toppo transformed into his God of Destruction form, even Vegeta’s raw strength wasn’t a match for him.

When using the power of a Destruction Deity, Toppo has the ability to eliminate whatever he desires. However, this doesn’t make him invulnerable; in fact, he is swept away by Vegeta’s Final Burst. It’s plausible that Goku could have defeated Toppo prior to mastering Ultra Instinct.

Goku Surpassed Belmod Before He Surpassed Jiren

It could be contended that, following the Super Hero Saga, Goku exceeds in power many other characters. For instance, Sidra and Champa seem less powerful compared to their counterparts, but given what we know so far, Goku has surpassed only one God of Destruction – Belmod.

The deity from Universe 11 known as Belmod was shown to be less powerful than his universe’s strongest mortal, Jiren. Although Goku didn’t exceed Jiren during the Tournament of Power, he certainly has surpassed him since then. With the power of Perfected Ultra Instinct, Goku now possesses the ability to easily defeat Belmod without even breaking a sweat.
