Continuing from the success of “28 Days Later” in 2002 and its sequel “28 Weeks Later” in 2007, the much-anticipated film titled “28 Years Later” will finally unveil the world’s fate after the outbreak of the Rage Virus and the rise of the undead. Directed by Danny Boyle, with screenplay co-written by Alex Garland, “28 Years Later” features a talented ensemble cast that includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Jack O’Connell, Erin Kellyman, and Edvin Ryding. A ’28 Years Later’ Follow-up Has Already Been Filmed

Originally unveiled in 2002, the film titled “28 Days Later” was helmed by Danny Boyle from a script penned by Alex Garland. It featured Cillian Murphy in one of his breakthrough performances. The narrative revolves around a bike messenger who emerges from a coma to find that London has been overtaken by a lethal virus, transforming its inhabitants into ruthless, mindless attackers. Praised for its innovative take on the zombie genre, the movie garnered critical acclaim. A sequel, “28 Weeks Later“, followed in 2007, focusing on a brother and sister as they strive to survive in this brutal new world.

Following decades, it’s been announced that “28 Years Later” will kickstart a new trilogy. Already filmed is the sequel, titled “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,” with Nia DaCosta, director of “Candyman” and “The Marvels,” taking charge.
