In the game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the Stealth skill segment is one of the key abilities, reflecting the game’s narrative involving spies, which is fitting given its medieval Bohemian setting. You’ll encounter several characters who excel in disguise and trickery throughout the game.
As a cunning gamer, I’ve discovered that my stealth points play a crucial role in the silent tread of my character. These points determine the amount of ruckus I make while sneaking around, as well as influencing the odds of guards and NPCs spotting me when I’m trespassing in off-limit areas. To boost this skill, I engage in stealthy activities like pickpocketing, lockpicking, and other covert actions.
7.
Stealth Kill And Takedown
- Enables you to perform stealth kills and non-lethal takedowns.
Even though these advantages become available immediately, they can be tricky to execute effectively because of the quick time event (QTE)-style attack and block symbols that appear during use. Mastering these symbols accurately without additional perks is quite challenging.
When it comes to additional benefits, it’s strongly advised to acquire the Tight Grip perk through the Strength attribute. This perk significantly improves your ability to execute stealth kills and takedowns, depending on your Strength level.
6.
Ambusher
- Surprise attacking a target will deal 20 percent more damage.
Surprising an opponent allows you to inflict greater harm. Should you manage to approach stealthily, you have the option to execute multiple attacks (up to two or three) without initiating a lock-on battle by simultaneously pressing the defend and attack keys.
This feature empowers you to execute thrust attacks even during non-combat situations, allowing you to accumulate a 20% damage boost for up to 2-3 consecutive thrust attacks before they notice your presence and initiate hand-to-hand combat.
Additionally, you can use the “Surprise Attack” bonus alongside it, which is effective against enemies using ranged weapons like bows or crossbows. This technique allows for a debilitating effect on unaware adversaries prior to engaging in combat.
5.
Escape Artist 2
- NPCs give up searching for you a lot sooner when they’re suspicious of you.
In this benefit, there are two aspects working together. If either guards or ordinary NPCs detect unusual circumstances, they will be much swifter in stopping their search for an intruder.
Obtaining the Escape Artist 2 ability will significantly facilitate your evasion and thievery tasks. However, it’s advisable to acquire this skill later in the game as Escape Artist 1 doesn’t offer immediate benefits. If you frequently encounter difficult situations, then it might be beneficial to get these skills sooner, but otherwise, consider leaving them for later use.
4.
Quickhand
- NPCs won’t notice you pickpocketing or lockpicking from a distance.
Swift Fingers simplifies the process of bypassing locks and snatching goods from Non-Player Characters (NPCs). By significantly narrowing their field of vision, this ability allows you to remain undetected even when at a reasonable distance.
This feature is particularly beneficial when it comes to pocket-picking in bustling locations filled with Non-Player Characters (NPCs). Yet, it’s less practical for lock-picking scenarios, mainly because the majority of locks, such as chests, are typically found indoors where you won’t have to contend with NPCs as frequently.
You could amass several abilities from the Thievery skill line to transform into a seasoned pickpocket, for instance, nimble-handedness, swift movement, silent agility, and tool expertise.
3.
Weasel Boy
- Reduces noise by 35 percent when sneaking outdoors.
Weasel Boy is ideal for covert character builds since it significantly lowers outdoor stealth noise by an impressive 35%. Additionally, you can pair it with up to two more perks offering comparable advantages.
Bushman significantly cuts down on noise by half when moving through bushes, whereas Rodent decreases noise by a quarter while moving indoors. These three essential tools make stealth activities such as burglary or covert attacks or incapacitations significantly more accessible.
2.
Fleeting Shadow 2
- You gain a bonus to Stealth, Agility, and Vitality when you’re wanted for a crime.
Here’s another dual benefit feature you shouldn’t miss out on! The initial stage of this perk, called Fleeting Shadow 1, boosts your Stealth skill by 3 points and offers additional benefits to Agility and Vitality, increasing by 2 points each. Then, as you advance to Fleeting Shadow 2, the Stealth bonus increases to 5 points, while Agility and Vitality bonuses rise to 3 points each. So, it’s advisable to acquire these perks as soon as possible for a significant advantage!
Since both of these advantages can last for an extended 2 minutes, they’re essential for players who lean towards criminal activities and successfully evade punishment.
If you choose to confront your predicament, the Lawbreaker perk associated with the Thievery skill grants you an additional 3 points to your Strength and Warfare abilities when you’ve got a wanted status due to a criminal offense.
1.
Ordinary Man
- People forget your crimes quicker, and guards won’t search your belongings as much.
A common man proves quite beneficial if you’ve been involved in a series of criminal activities such as frequent food theft, item snatching, and equipment grabbing. The non-player characters (NPCs) in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 are exceptionally astute, making it challenging to deceive them. However, with this perk, they’ll be less likely to harbor resentment and forgive you more quickly, usually within a few game days.
Moreover, should you find yourself in such a situation where you’re caught, it’s less likely that guards will thoroughly search you for pilfered goods. Instead, you might just need to pay a minor fine and continue to possess the items you’ve taken.
In case guards decide to search you, it would be advantageous to acquire the Hidden Pockets bonus from the Thievery skill since it lowers your chances of being detected by a third.
