Biden Condemns Shooting at Trump’s Rally in Pennsylvania: “No Place for This Kind of Violence in America”

As a fan, I was shocked and saddened to hear about the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania. My heart goes out to former President Trump and his family, as well as to the attendee who lost their life in this senseless act of violence. It is unacceptable that our politics have come to this.

Joe Biden is one of many voices responding to the fatal shooting incident that occurred during Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday.

The previous president’s team reported that Trump was “unharmed” following an incident where shots were fired, causing him to be hurriedly removed from the stage. Authorities have initiated a probe into this occurrence as a possible assassination attempt on Trump, according to AP sources. Regrettably, both the suspected gunman and at least one spectator reportedly lost their lives in this tragic event.

The president shared a statement after learning about the shooting incident at his rally in Pennsylvania. He expressed relief that Donald Trump is reportedly safe and in good condition, and offered prayers for everyone involved, including Trump’s family and the rally attendees. Jill and he are thankful for the Secret Service’s quick response in ensuring Trump’s safety. The president strongly condemns such violence and calls for national unity against it.

During a press conference on Saturday night, Biden expressed his desire to reach out to Trump and mentioned, “I’m hoping for a conversation with him this evening.”
