As a dedicated fan of the NCIS universe, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the latest addition to the franchise: “NCIS: Tony and Ziva.” The prospect of Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly reprising their iconic roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo, respectively, is enough to make my heart skip a beat. But the news gets even better with the announcement of eight new series regulars joining the cast!
The NCIS offshoot centering around Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly’s roles is adding more main characters.
Eight new actors have joined the cast of “NCIS: Tony and Ziva,” the Paramount+ series starring Michael Weatherly as Tony DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo as Ziva David. The show, which is now filming in Budapest, has welcomed back these two original stars.
I’m thrilled to be part of the cast joining De Pablo and Weatherly once again in “Tony and Ziva” for Paramount+. New additions to the team include Isla Gie, Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Nassima Benchicou, Julian Ovenden, Terence Maynard, Lara Rossi, and James D’Arcy. In February, Paramount+ officially ordered this series, making it one of two new “NCIS” shows in development, with the other being “NCIS: Origins,” set to premiere on CBS in the fall.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: “In the next chapter of my adventure with Ziva, we’ll find ourselves several years down the line, raising our daughter Tali in the beautiful city of Paris. I run a security company there, but one fateful day, an attack shatters our peaceful life. On the run across Europe, we’ll work together to uncover the mystery behind the attack and maybe, just maybe, learn to trust each other again so we can finally reach our unconventional happy ending.”
I’m excited to share that in the captivating world of “Shadow and Bone,” Suman will bring Claudette to life. Claudette is an accomplished CTO at Tony’s company, brimming with expertise and skill. In contrast, Osinski, known for his roles in “Ted Lasso” and “Agents of SHIELD,” masterfully portrays Boris – a cunning Russian expat and one of the world’s most elusive hackers. Lastly, Benchicou adds an air of sophistication as Martine, a former French intelligence agent with a deft and intriguing past.
In the upcoming production, Ovenden from “Bridgerton” is cast as Jonah, a former NSA computer specialist who has transitioned into the role of Interpol’s secretary general. Maynard, known for her work in “The Witcher” and “Coronation Street,” will portray Dr. Lang, an accomplished therapist. Rossi, recognized from “The Watch,” will bring Sophie to life, a former British Special Air Service member who looks after Tali. D’Arcy, with credits including “Oppenheimer” and “Agent Carter,” joins the team as Henry, a senior Interpol officer.
CBS Studios produces Tony and Ziva. John McNamara (The Magicians) is the showrunner and executive produces with Weatherly, de Pablo, Laurie Lieser, Christina Strain, Shelley Meals and Mairzee Almas.
