Tony Goldwyn and Kerry Washington acted together on “Scandal” for seven seasons on ABC. However, their professional paths have diverged since then. Goldwyn started working on “Law & Order” in the 2024 TV lineup, taking over as the District Attorney from Sam Waterston’s Jack McCoy. However, based on my understanding of media reports, it’s unclear if this will actually happen. But I can assure you that if it does, it won’t be a repetition of Olitz, the tumultuous pairing on Scandal.

Kerry Washington has been active on television in the past few years, despite taking a breather following “Scandal” and her repeated efforts to retire from acting. After the conclusion of ABC’s “Scandal,” she joined Hulu for “Little Fires Everywhere” in 2020 and “UnPrisoned” in 2023, with the latter set to premiere its second season on July 17 exclusively on Hulu. Next, Washington will appear on “Law & Order,” marking her return to live-action network television.
