‘The Bear’ Sets New Comedy Series Record With 23 Emmy Nominations

As a dedicated gamer and avid follower of the TV industry, I’ve been absolutely thrilled by the latest news about “The Bear” setting a new record at the Emmys with a whopping 23 nominations in the comedy category! I’ve been hooked on this FX series since its premiere, and it’s been an absolute joy to see Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri receive their well-deserved recognition with multiple nominations each.

The Bear has set a new record ahead of the 2024 Emmys.

In the comedy category, the FX show featuring Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach amassed an impressive 23 nominations, surpassing the previous record of 22 nominations held by “30 Rock” in 2009.

At the 2023 Emmys, White earned a nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance as Carmy Berzatto. He had previously triumphed in this category for “The Bear” at the prior Emmy awards. In addition to his two Golden Globes and SAG Award wins, White shone in this series. Simultaneously, Edebiri was recognized with a nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Sydney Adamu. Much like White, she experienced her initial Emmy nod and victory for “The Bear” at the previous ceremony.

As a dedicated gamer following the Emmy Awards, I’m thrilled to share that Liza Colón-Zayas, Moss-Bachrach, and Lionel Boyce have earned themselves nominations! Colón-Zayas shines in the supporting actress category, while Moss-Bachrach and Boyce both receive nods for their outstanding performances as supporting actors in a comedy series.

The Bear is among the nominees for the comedy series award, alongside Abbott Elementary, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hacks, Palm Royale, and What We Do in the Shadows.

I’ve been an avid television viewer for as long as I can remember, and I must admit that keeping up with the Emmy nominations every year is one of my favorite pastimes. This year, a particular series has truly captured my heart and attention – a brilliant creation by Christopher Storer. I was absolutely thrilled to learn that this show received an impressive 23 nominations!

FX’s Shogun leads this year’s Emmys race with 25 nominations.

The third season of FX’s show was recently released on Hulu, attracting a record-breaking viewership of 5.4 million people worldwide within the first four days (premiered on June 27).

To qualify for the 2024 Emmy Awards, TV shows had to have their first broadcast between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

On September 15, Sundays from 5 to 8 p.m. Pacific Time or 8 to 11 p.m. Eastern Time, live coverage of the 76th Emmy Awards will be broadcasted from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on ABC.
