My Adventures With Superman’s Kara Has Officially Become Supergirl, But I’m Worried About The Two Threats Awaiting Her And Clark In Season 3

As a longtime fan of superhero stories and someone who has followed the adventures of Superman and his family for years, I have to say that the Season 2 finale of “My Adventures with Superman” was an emotional rollercoaster. The way Kara Zor-El’s transformation into Supergirl was portrayed was both thrilling and nerve-wracking, as she struggled against Brainiac’s control and ultimately emerged victorious.

In the thrilling finale of “My Adventures with Superman” Season 2, I bore witness to Kara Zor-El’s transformation into the Girl of Steel. The title itself hinted at this momentous occasion. Ever since the Season 2 trailer dropped, we’ve had a sneaking suspicion that Kara would join the ranks of superheroes. And true enough, she made her debut in “Most Eligible Superman,” following Brainiac’s cryptic hints as the enigmatic Kryptonian warrior. Now, with her official coming-out party, Kara stands tall among us, ready to save the day, just like her cousin Kal-El/Clark Kent.

How Kara Became Supergirl

Towards the conclusion of “Pierce the Heavens, Superman!”, Clark Kent and Kara Danvers found themselves powerless against Metallos, who were manipulated by Brainiac using Kryptonite. The silver lining was that old foes like Livewire and Heatwave appeared to help them, while John Henry Irons, aka Steel, intervened to protect Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Ron Troupe from harm. However, the situation turned grim when Clark and Kara finally reached Brainiac’s spaceship. There, they discovered that Brainiac had orchestrated Krypton’s destruction and had taken control of Kara, forcing her to attack her own cousin, Superman.

Instead of relying on raw power to subdue Kara, Clark opted for a gentler approach by wrapping her in a comforting embrace. Lois and Jimmy lent their support as well. When Brainiac sought control, Kara managed to break free from the Eradicator Override and maneuvered his vessel towards the sun. However, their foe had one more surprise: triggering the Black Zero protocol, which imbued him and his craft with artificial Kryptonite.

Brainiac was prepared to give up his own life in an attempt to eliminate Clark and Kara, who had shattered his ambition of resurrecting the Kryptonian Empire. Using a massive Kryptonite energy blast, he confronted them. Normally, such an attack would have proved fatal for him. But since they were situated near a yellow sun, which is essential for their powers, they recovered swiftly from the Kryptonite toxicity.

Kara and Clark returned to Brainiac’s spaceship. As Kara’s armor morphed into her Supergirl attire, she flew toward Brainiac and shattered his body just as he scraped her face with a Kryptonite knife. With the mainframe in her grasp, she observed it changing from green to black, signaling the end of Brainiac’s tyranny.

What Awaits Clark And Kara In Season 3

After a few days of rest following her battle with Brainiac, Kara made a full recovery and started anew on Earth with Clark, Lois, and Jimmy. This, along with Lois choosing to remain at The Daily Planet over Vicki Vale’s Gotham Gazette offer, brought a generally upbeat conclusion to “My Adventures with Superman” Season 2. However, the final montage in “My Adventures with Supergirl” hinted at potential challenges ahead for our heroes – details about which were revealed during the announcement of Season 3 last month.

An initial news article announces that Amanda Waller remains at large following recent revelations about Task Force X’s questionable conduct during the Metallos takeover on Brainiac. It is plausible that her current predicament involves the authorities for her role in utilizing the Human Defense Corps to enforce martial law in Metropolis. Despite these setbacks, Waller is expected to reappear in Season 3 with a fresh strategy to tackle the alien presence on Earth, regardless of their nature.

I recently spoke with Jack Quaid about his experiences trying out for James Gunn’s new Superman role. He shared insight into why David Corenswet ultimately landed the part.

My Adventures With Superman Seemingly Snuck In A Dragon Ball Z Nod, And It’s Absolutely Perfect

In the Metropolis battle’s aftermath, Lex Luthor, having lost control of the Metallos, disappeared only to reappear at the finale of the episode, praising the freshly renovated Lexcorp headquarters in the company of Slade Wilson. This unexpected duo raises eyebrows given that in “Olsen’s Eleven,” Slade reveled in Luthor’s robots’ supposed defeat and seemed displeased when Amanda Waller granted young scientist Oscar Olsen unlimited resources to progress with his project.

With Waller’s influence swaying him, Slade came to view working for Luthor as an attractive professional prospect. Consequently, they struck a deal, making Slade Luthor’s bodyguard. Regardless of their motivations for joining forces, expect mischief from them in Season 3, and be prepared for Luthor’s wrath. Superman’s renewed public approval and the emergence of another Kryptonian hero infuriate him greatly.

I’m excited to find out how much chaos Amanda Waller, Lex Luthor, Slade Wilson, and other villains will bring when “My Adventures with Superman” Season 3 premiers. Until then, you can re-watch the first two seasons with a Max subscription or check out other upcoming DC TV shows in the pipeline.
