Hunter Biden Drops Lawsuit Against Fox News

As a Hunter Biden supporter and someone who has closely followed his life experiences, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions regarding this latest development. On one hand, it’s relieving to see that the lawsuit against Fox News has been dropped, at least for now. But on the other hand, it’s disheartening to see yet another obstacle in Biden’s path, especially one that was based on false and defamatory allegations.

Hunter Biden dropped a bid of his own Sunday.

As a seasoned journalist with years of experience covering political news, I’ve seen my fair share of twists and turns in campaigns. But the recent development between President Joe Biden and Fox News has been particularly intriguing.

The filing states that Biden chose not to permanently drop the lawsuit against Fox. Instead, he left open the possibility of refiling the case at a later time.

Last week, Fox removed from its streaming platform, Fox Nation, a dramatized series about Hunter Biden that Biden had previously filed a lawsuit against. The miniseries titled “The Trial of Hunter Biden” was taken down by Fox in April.

Biden accused the series of distorting reality and manipulating facts, showing images of him in compromising positions and engaging in sexual acts. He filed lawsuits for breach of New York’s revenge porn statute, causing severe emotional distress, and unjustly gaining financial benefit.

A Fox News representative directed The Hollywood Reporter back to the original statement made by Fox News in regard to the lawsuit.

“The politically motivated lawsuit against us lacks any valid claims. The main issue arises from a streaming program that Mr. Biden didn’t criticize until he sent a letter in April 2024. The program was taken down shortly after, as a precautionary measure. However, Hunter Biden is a well-known figure who has faced numerous probes and is currently incarcerated.”

I was surprised to learn that Biden faced federal gun charges last month, but it’s important to note that there have been no allegations or convictions against him related to bribery or foreign lobbying, as depicted in Fox’s series.
