Lexus Unveils Performance-Driven LBX "Morizo RR"

As a dedicated fan of Lexus and a follower of their innovative new models, I am absolutely thrilled about the latest addition to their lineup: the LBX “Morizo RR.” Having attended the Tokyo Auto Salon earlier this year, I had the privilege of witnessing this performance-driven compact car in person, and I was blown away by its impressive design and capabilities.

Lexus has introduced its latest model, the LBX “Morizo RR,” a performance-driven variant of its compact car designed to deliver an elevated driving experience. The model was first showcased at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January and features a small but capable 1.6L inline-three-cylinder turbocharged engine, developed extensively alongside racing drivers to enhance performance and agility.

The new LBX model comes with several notable advancements. Firstly, it boasts Lexus’ innovative Response-Enhancing Damping Structure (REDS) in its front lower arms, which enhances responsiveness and control on diverse road conditions while retaining the signature quietness of a Lexus vehicle. Furthermore, buyers have the flexibility to select between two transmission options: the Direct Shift 8-speed automatic transmission and an initial offering from Lexus, the 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission. Lastly, an electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system guarantees both stability and an exhilarating driving experience.

On the outside, this vehicle showcases distinctive front and rear bumpers, sizable 19-inch forged wheels, and hued moldings that emphasize its sleek low profile and broad posture. Inside, it boasts customized sports seats, aluminum pedals, and athletic embellishments. Lexus unveiled the “Bespoke Build” initiative, enabling clients to personalize their rides with a multitude of selections, such as colored brake calipers.

In Japan, orders have started coming in for the new “Morizo RR” LBX model from Lexus. A wider availability is anticipated towards the end of August. Regarding the Bespoke Build program, interested individuals in Japan must submit their applications by July 31, 2024. Applicants will then be entered into a lottery; winners will be contacted by their designated dealerships.
