Crenshaw Skate Club Partners with XLarge on a Rhinestone-Adorned Range

As a devoted fan of streetwear and skate culture, I am absolutely thrilled about Crenshaw Skate Club‘s latest collaboration with XLarge Japan. The fusion of California cool and Japanese artistry is an exciting combination that speaks to the global influence and inclusivity of the skateboarding community.

Crenshaw Skate Club, renowned in California for its enduring influence, looks to international skate communities for fresh inspiration. In collaboration with XLarge Japan, Tobey McIntosh’s West Coast brand is honoring the accepting spirit and carefree essence of skate culture through their new joint collection.

In this realm, a collection of embellished denim pieces takes center stage: a vest and matching shorts. According to McIntosh, the use of rhinestones pays homage to the self-expression and value of uniqueness inherent in skateboarding culture.

The pair collaborated with Carden Katz to deliver a brief movie for the product introduction. In this film, McIntosh’s grandfather made an appearance as a cameo character. This movie introduced the legend of South Central’s capsule mascot, “Rhinestone Randall,” who is known for never having to pay for his orders due to his extraordinarily bright rhinestones that dazzle the sun.

In other parts of the capsule, the pair offers a collection of graphic tees with collaborative branding – worn by all members of the Crenshaw Crew in the short film – along with accessories such as belts, socks, and hats.

Beginning July 27, grab a item from the Crenshaw Skate Club collection at XLarge Japan’s online shop and all 32 physical stores when the drop becomes available for purchase.
