As a huge fan of both Juliette Lewis and Peter Dinklage, I can hardly contain my excitement for their latest project, “The Thicket,” now streaming on Tubi. The dark Western trailer showcases these two powerhouse actors as unlikeliest outlaws and ruthless killers, with a chemistry that leaves me hooked.
In the trailer for the dark Western “The Thicket” on Tubi, released on Tuesday, Juliette Lewis and Peter Dinklage are portrayed as unconventional bandits with a cruel and violent side.
“Lewis, portraying menacing gang leader Cutthroat Bill, comments on Dinklage’s character, Reginald Jones – a grave-digging, alcoholic bounty hunter with a past as a son of an ex-slave and a streetwise prostitute – saying, ‘You’re the smallest person I’ve come across,’ during the trailer.”
“Reginald, as violent as Bill, retorts, ‘You’re the most unattractive.’ In Elliott Lester’s film, Reginald is set on a confrontation with Bill after their gang abducts Jack’s sister. Jack is played by Levon Hawke, the son of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.”
In the heart of turn-of-the-century Texas lies a perilous expanse called The Big Thicket, where my brothers Reginald and Jack embark on a daring quest to save our sister from the clutches of Bill. This thrilling adventure, which features an impressive cast including Esmé Creed-Miles, Macon Blair, Andrew Schulz, James Hetfield, David Midthunder, Arliss Howard, Leslie Grace, and Gbenga Akinnagbe, takes us deep into the lawless and dangerous land of The Thicket.

The film adaptation of “The Thicket” will make its debut at the Deauville Film Festival and is set to be released in US theaters on September 6. It was filmed in Calgary, Alberta.
