Sonu Nigam gets emotional at Tishaa Kumar’s prayer-meet; Krishan Kumar consoles him as he breaks down in his lap

As a lifestyle expert and someone who has had the unfortunate experience of attending several prayer meets and funerals, I can only imagine the pain and grief that Krishan Kumar and his family must be feeling right now following the demise of their beloved daughter Tishaa. The sight of Sonu Nigam breaking down inconsolably at the prayer meet is a poignant reminder of the deep emotional bonds that exist within our community, especially in times of loss.

Tragically, Tishaa Kumar, 20-year-old daughter of Krishan Kumar and cousin of Bhushan Kumar, succumbed to her long-term illness on July 18, 2024. Her demise has left the family and many in Bollywood deeply saddened. A memorial service was held for her on July 22, which was attended by numerous individuals from the film industry. Meanwhile, a heartfelt video of Sonu Nigam mourning at the ceremony has touched the hearts of many and is currently trending online.

At the prayer meeting for Tishaa Kumar, the daughter of Krishan and Tanya Kumar, several Bollywood personalities attended, including singer Sonu Nigam. A video shared by Siddharth Mohan captured Sonu Nigam approaching Krishan to console him and then sitting beside him on the floor.

Despite finding it difficult to maintain his composure, the singer leaned on Krishan’s lap, sobbing uncontrollably. In response, Krishan comforted him. It is worth mentioning that the singer has worked together with T-Series on numerous collaborations and tracks.

Instead of Sonu Nigam, there were also actors such as Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Kartik Aaryan, and Fardeen Khan present to express their sympathies to the Kumar family. Furthermore, filmmakers Rakesh Roshan, Ashutosh Gowariker, and singers Udit Narayan and Shaan were among those who supported the Kumar family during their difficult time.

About Tishaa Kumar’s unfortunate demise

Significantly, the Kumar family released a statement reporting the tragic death of Tishaa Kumar. She was the daughter of Krishan Kumar and succumbed to her illness on the previous day after a long and arduous fight. This is a challenging period for the family, so we humbly ask that their privacy be protected during this grieving process.

At first, the last rites were planned for July 21, but they were delayed due to unfavorable weather in Mumbai. As reported by ETimes, the family made an announcement stating, “The prayer meet continues as planned. It will be held at Ruby Ballroom, Hotel Sahara Star, on Tuesday, July 22 at 4 pm. Your attendance and support during this challenging time would be greatly valued.”
