As an old-school gamer, I can’t help but reminisce about the nostalgic Pikachu-themed Nintendo 64 controller from my youth. Fast forward to 2024, and a talented concept artist has brought us a modern take on this beloved design – a ‘thicc’ Pikachu controller that’s sure to grab our attention. Coincidentally, Microsoft recently unveiled their own playful homage to pop culture with the ‘juicy’ Deadpool and Wolverine controllers as a nod to Shawn Levy’s Deadpool & Wolverine project.

Over on X, previously known as Twitter, concept artist BossLogic presented an unconventional Pikachu controller design. With a generous serving of cake at the back, this take on the beloved Pokemon symbol offers a fresh perspective, revealing a distinctly new pair of cheeks unlike those we’re accustomed to.
The account proposes designs for rounded Pokemon controller variants, which would be an essential purchase for Mortal Kombat enthusiasts turned Pokemon fans. However, these ideas are still in the planning phase and may never materialize due to the lack of manufacturers willing to produce them. Given Nintendo and The Pokemon Company’s commitment to maintaining a wholesome public image, Thiccachu-inspired controllers do not align with their values.
