The McConaughey family is marking National Tequila Day by unveiling a fresh poolside advertisement for their organic tequila label, Pantalones. This newest image is part of the “authorized tequila supplier” series for the liquor business.
In the latest advertisement, the company positions itself as the “official tequila for avoiding sunburns.” A humorous scene featuring Camila McConaughey applying sunscreen while her husband, Matt, lounges comfortably (and pants-free) by the pool is shown. To match this promotion, Pantalones has introduced a new cocktail recipe titled “Sunrise Speedo.” The brand claims that this refreshing drink is perfect for enjoying by the poolside. As a gamer, I’d put it like this: Over the summer, that couple dropped two more quirky ads without pants. The first one was for pickleball in May, perfectly timed for “No Pants Day.” And the second one? It was a Fourth of July special where they grilled up a storm… with no pants on.
In autumn of 2023, the duo introduced their tequila brand featuring Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. Known for accolades, this collection is described as created to savor enjoyment, kindness, and maintaining a lighthearted perspective on life in a press statement.
During its inaugural year of sale, the Añejo tequila from the brand was bestowed the prestigious double gold accolade at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This distinction is granted when every judge concurs, declaring it as the superior representative in its category. Meanwhile, both the Blanco and Reposado tequilas earned gold and bronze medals, respectively.
The brand announced earlier this year that nearly all of their projects for 2024 would not involve pants.
