As a dedicated Call of Duty: Warzone player with thousands of hours under my belt, I can confidently say that something feels off with the latest Season 5 update. The return of bots in Warzone is not just a rumor, it’s a reality that has left many players, including myself, utterly disappointed.
“In Thin Lizzy 2076, the robots are back in action after being dismissed by Warzone in 2023, according to the Call of Duty series lore, when Al Mazrah and the contentious Strongholds were abandoned.”
It seems that some Warzone players have discovered what they believe to be the return of bots in Modern Warfare 3 Season 5, disguised as real players. Despite the many exciting new additions in this release, these players suspect that the developers may have concealed bots amidst WWE collaborations and impressive finishing moves.
Warzone players think bots have been added in MW3 Season 5
In modern Call of Duty games, you’ll encounter relatively fewer automated players, often referred to as bots. With the franchise having been around for an extended period, most gamers have mastered the basics of aiming and shooting accurately.
In Season 5, some critics have claimed that instead of subpar players, bots have taken over, filling up the lower-level game lobbies.
Speros_OG, a Twitter user, shared an experience where they suspectedly encountered a bot in Urzikstan. They described an opponent who didn’t sprint or shoot back during their encounter. To verify this suspicion, Speros tried getting closer and jumping in front of the player, but there was no reaction.
They expressed doubt, “This player doesn’t seem genuine to us.” The experience was reminiscent of facing an unyielding juggernaut in Blacksite, as he retaliated fiercely each time we attacked him.

I came across this player in another situation as well, and my suspicions about their legitimacy only intensified after our encounter in the Gulag. In that match, they took damage in an impossible place for me to reach. This discovery has only strengthened my belief that they are, in fact, a bot.
Others were taken aback by this seemingly insignificant player as Season 5 appears to be packed with powerful squads exploring the latest Atlas Superstore POI. However, the evidence is somewhat doubtful, although it could have been Sal and the Impractical Jokers filming as well.
