As a dedicated Fallout fan who has been eagerly following the development of Fallout: London for the past five years, I can’t contain my excitement as this highly-anticipated mod finally sees the light of day. The prospect of exploring a Britain setting in the Fallout universe is an intriguing one, and the fact that it’s on par with the size of the base Fallout 4 Commonwealth and Far Harbour expansions makes it all the more enticing.
After five long years of anticipation and doubt from some of us, Fallout: London, a total conversion Fallout mod, has officially been released. We’ve been closely monitoring its progress, and now, with great pride, Team FOLON raises the Union Jack to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Although many Fallout 4 mods exist, only a few match the grand scale of Fallout: London. This impressive mod marks the series’ first foray into the United Kingdom, offering players an expansion equivalent in size to both the Commonwealth and Far Harbor DLCs, ensuring a rich experience filled with new content for this British setting.

Starting July 25, Fallout: London has been released and can be purchased through GOG.com for PC users only. Sadly, console gamers are unable to join in on the fun. Despite its impressive appearance, players are already voicing a significant demand.
As a passionate fan, I must admit that Team FOLON faced some challenges in getting Fallout: London off the ground. The unexpected release of the new-gen Fallout 4 update by Bethesda created quite a hurdle for us. frankly speaking, it caused some issues and set us back. Fortunately, those who own Fallout 4 and its additional content can enjoy the game. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible for individuals who purchased it through Epic Games since it doesn’t support rollbacks.
The announcement trailer for Fallout 76 being exclusive to PC has shown that there’s a significant demand for a console version. Although Fallout 76 keeps adding content updates, fans have been craving new Fallout experiences. The release of Amazon’s live-action series has reignited the fanbase, and we may have to wait years for Fallout 5.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed an influx of queries and disappointment in the comments section of the latest Fallout: London video. Many players are eagerly asking if this game will be available on consoles, while others are expressing their regret that we haven’t heard anything about a potential console port yet. However, according to the official site for this mod, there are no present plans for PlayStation or Xbox releases. So, PC gamers can enjoy this exciting new experience without any worries.
Dean Carter, the project lead, recently suggested the possibility of a console release for Team FOLON’s project during a discussion with Metro. Although the final decision lies with Bethesda, the team is optimistic and hopes to engage with a decision-maker. They expressed their desire to make the project a standalone item with Bethesda’s approval, which would enable console users to access it, currently an unavailable option for them.
The release of Fallout: London this year on PC has been met with much enthusiasm. Some have even declared that it surpasses Bethesda’s best work from the past ten years after an update improved it, replacing the original mod. PC gamers are certainly enjoying a rich harvest in 2024 with this game.
