Josh Hartnett‘s recent confession about attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with his daughters made me realize how wrong I was.
After going to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with his daughters, Josh Hartnett acknowledged that the crowd portrayed in the movie “Trap” was not as exaggerated as he had initially thought.
The actor, featured in M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming psychological thriller, confessed that he previously underestimated the profound impact concerts have on fans today. This realization made him ponder over how the audience was depicted in “Trap.”
Hartnett shared with AP two weeks ago that he brought his children to see Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London. It was their first major interest, and he remarked, “The experience was so vibrant that I sent a photo to Night, commenting ‘Life imitating art.’ When we filmed the movie, I found the portrayal of the crowd excessively dramatic for someone who hadn’t attended a pop concert with kids.”
During filming of the concert scenes for the “Oppenheimer” production, the actor portraying Oppenheimer admittedly mused, “These performers seem excessively enthusiastic. I recall concerts as more indifferent gatherings where people kept their cool. Today’s audiences, however, are remarkably passionate about their favorite artists.”
After attending the largest tour ever by the global superstar, Hartnett’s viewpoint shifted. He came to realize that the filmmaker had accurately captured the essence of the concert experience.
At the Eras Tour, I observed Swift fans’ behavior up close. Their passionate devotion to Taylor Swift, including tears upon seeing her, aligned perfectly with Night’s portrayal in this piece, leaving me quite impressed.
The movie “Trap,” opening on Aug. 9, tells the story of a father (Hartnett) and his teenage daughter (Ariel Donoghue). They go to a Lady Raven’s pop concert (performed by Saleka Shyamalan), unaware that they are right in the midst of a police operation. However, they soon discover that this is not just an ordinary concert; it’s a sting to capture a dangerous serial killer.
