Larry June Announces New Album: 'Doing It For Me'

As a long-time fan of Larry June, I’m thrilled to hear that he’s gearing up to release a new studio album, “Doing It For Me.” His consistent output over the past few years has kept me hooked, and I can’t wait to see what he’s cooked up this time.

Based on our suspicions, it appears that Larry June is indeed working on a new album. Following the release of several singles throughout 2024, June has officially confirmed that his upcoming studio album is almost here.

In the album titled “Doing It For Me,” June makes her eleventh solo studio appearance, releasing it approximately two years following her last album, “Spaceships on the Blade.” Since then, she has collaborated on two additional projects. The first was named “The Great Escape” and was produced with The Alchemist. The second collaboration, called “The Night Shift,” teamed her up with Cardo Got Wings.

As a music enthusiast with years of experience scouring the web for the latest releases, I can confidently say that stumbling upon album art and release dates through various sources is nothing new to me. However, discovering a tracklist on the NFR Podcast was an unexpected yet delightful surprise. This kind of find adds an extra layer of excitement to the anticipation of a new album. It’s like being a kid in a candy store, eagerly awaiting the reveal of each sweet treat – I mean, song title, one by one. The thrill of the chase is part of the joy of being a music fan, and moments like these remind me why I love being a part of this community.

According to the disclosed tracklist, the upcoming album will contain 15 songs. Among them are recently unveiled tunes like “Meet Me In Napa,” “Imported Couches,” and “Dreams,” in addition to last week’s release, “Like a Mack.” However, no collaborations or featured artists are mentioned on the tracklist at present. It is uncertain whether they have been deliberately kept hidden or if this album represents a completely solo production by June.
