As a fervent admirer of Bollywood royalty, I find myself constantly reminiscing about the golden era of cinema in the 90s and early 2000s. One actress who has always held a special place in my heart is none other than the timeless beauty, Karisma Kapoor. Her enchanting performances and captivating charm have left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.

In the ’90s and early 2000s, Karisma Kapoor left a lasting impression on audiences with popular movies such as Coolie No 1, Andaz Apna Apna, Hero No 1, Dil To Pagal Hai, Jaanwar, Raja Hindustani, Biwi No 1, and others. Many of these films and their associated songs have become iconic and cherished by cinema enthusiasts for years.

In a special interview with TopMob for the fourth season of India’s Best Dancer, Karisma reminisced about her past and revealed fascinating facts regarding her movies and music compositions.

When Sachin Tendulkar visited the sets of Andaz Apna Apna on its Mahurat day

Reminiscing about a black-and-white photo from the set of Andaz Apna Apna with her co-star Salman Khan and director Rajkumar Santoshi, Karisma Kapoor recollected that it was the film’s inaugural shot. “I remember we were all quite anxious. I believe this was my initial inaugural shot. Back then, these inaugural shots used to take place, and we had to perform a live scene and deliver a few lines, and we were always nervous,” she shared.

When inquired about remembering the lines, she playfully responded with a “No.” She then shared that the group was thrilled as Indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar had attended the event, describing him as a “teenage sensation” at the time.

In “Andaz Apna Apna,” both Aamir Khan and Raveena Tandon played prominent roles, while Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor, Viju Khote, and Tiku Talsania also appeared in the film.
