Even though there’s a significant time difference since the last launch, Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick is already thinking ahead regarding the potential release of GTA 7 at some point in the distant future. When queried about future plans, the executive succinctly responded with “GTA 7.”
As an ardent follower of the legendary Rockstar Games franchise, I found myself hesitant and even skeptical when whispers began about the potential development of a seventh installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. However, with a development timeline of 24 years for Grand Theft Auto 7, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment. It feels like an eternity in the rapidly evolving world of video games.
Starting from its debut in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) has soared among the ranks of the most successful video games ever produced. Regularly updated weekly content, along with significant drops of online material, keep the multiplayer community engaged and entertained. Regrettably, Rockstar Games unexpectedly scrapped plans for GTA V’s Story DLCs, including an expansion featuring Secret Agent Trevor, without giving any reason.
It’s anticipated that when Rockstar Games unveils GTA 6, they will regularly provide fresh content for its storyline and multiplayer components.
