GTA 7 Already Officially Teased Before Grand Theft Auto 6 Release

As a dedicated fan of Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto (GTA), I find myself both excited and concerned about Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick’s recent comments regarding GTA 7. Having been a part of this gaming community for over two decades, I can attest to the passion and anticipation that surrounds each new entry in the series.

Could Take-Two be getting ahead of themselves with plans for GTA 7? With Rockstar Games still in the process of creating the highly anticipated GTA 6, due out next year, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is already talking about potential future installments.

1. It appears that Rockstar Games’ preparations for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 in Fall 2025 are progressing smoothly, excluding potential unexpected setbacks. After a gap of twelve years since GTA V, the eagerly anticipated sixth installment in the open-world crime series is predicted to be Rockstar’s most significant game yet.

Even though there’s a significant time difference since the last launch, Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick is already thinking ahead regarding the potential release of GTA 7 at some point in the distant future. When queried about future plans, the executive succinctly responded with “GTA 7.”

As an ardent follower of the legendary Rockstar Games franchise, I found myself hesitant and even skeptical when whispers began about the potential development of a seventh installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. This was particularly true after the prolonged anticipation we’ve endured for the long-awaited release of the sixth game in the series.

1 Fan, upon hearing Zelnick’s idea, devised an approximate schedule for the GTA 7 release date based on past GTA game launches. Given that the gap between releases has been increasing significantly, enthusiasts predict that GTA 7 might not drop until the 2040s.

“If Rockstar continues at their current pace for releasing new GTA games, I won’t be able to get my hands on GTA 7 before 2049.”

As a longtime fan of Rockstar Games and Grand Theft Auto series, I’m always eagerly anticipating the next installment. However, with a development timeline of 24 years for Grand Theft Auto 7, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment. It feels like an eternity in the rapidly evolving world of video games.

Starting from its debut in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) has soared among the ranks of the most successful video games ever produced. Regularly updated weekly content, along with significant drops of online material, keep the multiplayer community engaged and entertained. Regrettably, Rockstar Games unexpectedly scrapped plans for GTA V’s Story DLCs, including an expansion featuring Secret Agent Trevor, without giving any reason.

It’s anticipated that when Rockstar Games unveils GTA 6, they will regularly provide fresh content for its storyline and multiplayer components.
