Irrfan Khan’s NSD colleague Mita Vashisht claims she had premonitions about late actor’s demise; 'Shayad ek do din mein woh jane wala hai'

I have always held a deep respect for the enigmatic and talented actor, Irrfan Khan. His sudden demise in 2020 left me, along with countless others, heartbroken and in disbelief. Recently, during an appearance on The Lallantop YouTube channel, his NSD batchmate, Mita Vashisht, shared a chilling account of her premonitions about his death.

Irrfan Khan, who had been part of the entertainment industry for around 35 years, passed away unexpectedly in 2020. His sudden departure left the entire nation in shock, including his closest friends and colleagues. Recently, on The Lallantop YouTube channel, Mita Vashisht – a batchmate of Khan’s from National School of Drama (NSD) – shared that she had experienced premonitions about his death before it occurred.

Mita Vashisht claims to have premonitions about Irrfan Khan’s death

Mita, the actress, shared that ten days before Irrfan Khan passed away, they had a prolonged conversation in her dream. Irrfan expressed to her, “It’s been a long time, friend, we haven’t met.” The encounter left Mita feeling elated and the dream lasted approximately 45 minutes. Upon waking up, she reportedly experienced a sense of tranquility.

She went on to say, “I had a sense that he wouldn’t be around for long, perhaps within a day or two. He wasn’t going to stay.” After this, Mita Vashisht reached out to a friend in an attempt to locate Irrfan. However, at the moment, Irrfan was devoting all his time to being with his loved ones.

Mita Vashisht recalls an intriguing incident involving Irrfan Khan’s procession

1. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Irrfan Khan sadly passed away. Upon hearing this news, Ashok Kumar Bhagat approached Mita and asked, “Mita, shall we attend Irrfan’s funeral?” To which she replied, “Of course.” Meanwhile, Vashisht put on protective gear, and Mita couldn’t help but notice that even those with no personal connection to Irrfan were caught on camera by the media.

Mita remembered that as a woman, she was denied entry into the cemetery. So she waited outside by the fence. When the procession initially went in the reverse direction, they eventually passed by her. Vashisht chuckled and thought, “Looks like you came to bid farewell to me.”
