Boyd Holbrook Joins ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4

As a huge fan of both The Morning Show and Boyd Holbrook‘s impressive acting resume, I can’t contain my excitement over this latest casting announcement! Holbrook’s diverse range, from his gripping performances in Narcos and Justified to his recent roles in Predator and Logan, proves that he is a force to be reckoned with.

The Morning Show is quickly booking up for season four.

In the fourth season of the Apple TV+ dramatic series starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, Boyd Holbrook has been announced as the latest addition to the cast. In this role, he will portray Brodie, a well-known and thought-provoking podcaster and talk show host.

A notable actor, who has previously shone in “Narcos” and “Justified: City Primeval,” recently graced the silver screen in Jeff Nichols’ film “The Bikeriders.” Upcoming projects include a part in James Mangold’s Bob Dylan biopic, titled “A Complete Unknown” – a collaboration following their work on “Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny.” Presently, this versatile performer is engrossed in filming the second season of Netflix’s “The Sandman,” continuing his portrayal of The Corinthian.

He has worked on various projects recently, such as Shane Black’s updated version of “Predator,” Mangold’s film “Logan,” HBO’s production “Behind the Candelabra,” and History Channel’s miniseries “Hatfields & McCoys.”

Holbrook has become the newest addition to “The Morning Show,” succeeding William Jackson Harper in his role as Ben, the confident and pioneering Head of Sports at the fictional TV network’s show; Marion Cotillard portrays Celine Dumont, a shrewd executive; and Jeremy Irons takes on the character of Martin Levy, the father to Aniston’s Alex Levy.

In addition to the already-cast stars, such as Aaron Pierre (from “Genius: MLK/X”), Rachel Marsh (“Unstable”), and John Hoogenakker (“Dopesick”, “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”), have also taken on recurring roles in the series.

For the upcoming season, the main cast of the show will feature Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm, and Nicole Beharie. Unfortunately, Julianna Margulies won’t be returning for season four.

“The Morning Show” delves into the competitive landscape of morning news broadcasting and the individuals who aid America in starting their day, concluding its third season on a suspenseful note. In the final episode — spoiler alert!— Alex Bradley (Aniston) orchestrated a last-minute coup against her romantic interest Paul Marks (Hamm), outwitting him and planning to navigate their fictional network and morning show through a post-merger phase. On the other hand, Bradley Jackson (Witherspoon) handed herself over to the FBI in the finale and may face a serious felony charge. The series’ creators, including showrunner Charlotte Stoudt, and the cast recently revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that season four will leap forward two years, bringing us to the year 2024.

Created by Kerry Ehrin, The Morning Show is overseen by Jennifer Aniston and Kristin Hahn through Echo Films; Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter through Hello Sunshine, a company under Candle Media. Mimi Leder, who has a multi-year deal with Apple TV+ for both directing and executive producing, is the series’ director and executive producer. Michael Ellenberg also serves as an executive producer, while studio Media Res produces the show. Additionally, Jon Stoudt, who has a multi-year deal with Apple TV+ for scripted television series, plays a significant role in its production.

Holbrook is repped by WME, Range Media Partners, imPRint.
