Jamie xx and The Avalanches have teamed up for a new track called “All You Children.” This groovy number is going to be featured on Jamie xx’s upcoming second album, titled In Waves. I can hardly wait as this long-awaited release is scheduled to drop on September 20 – almost ten years after his debut album hit the charts. What a fantastic collaboration!
As a long-time music enthusiast and clubgoer, I can’t help but be drawn to tracks that ignite the dancefloor and transport me to another dimension. One such track that leaves a lasting impression is the dance number with the captivating opening line “All you children, gather ’round / We will dance and we will whirl.” This inviting invitation sets the stage for an immersive sonic journey, where the fast-paced beat takes over and propels me into a state of euphoria.
1. “All You Children,” which is the fourth track released as a single, comes from the album titled “In Waves“. Notably, the initial singles on this project also boast collaborations with artists such as Honey Dijon and Robyn. The album comprises 12 tracks in total, spanning approximately 44 minutes of playtime.
Jamie xx spoke about the track, expressing his admiration for The Avalanches. Their innovative use of samples and musical collages continues to inspire me. Working with them on a song opened my eyes to fresh approaches in music production.
