As a seasoned gamer with decades under my belt and countless hours spent navigating virtual realms, I must say Netflix Games has caught my attention this July. The variety of games they’ve added is nothing short of impressive – from the unique puzzle-solving experience of Arranger to the nostalgic charm of Minesweeper.
Over the past while, Netflix Games and their popular mobile titles have been a recurring theme for us. As July draws to a close, let’s take a moment to reflect on the five fantastic games that joined the platform recently! From role-playing games, puzzle challenges, or dating simulations, there’s an abundance of choices this month.
So let’s get started.
- Arranger – This unusual but quite fun game sees you playing as a young woman with the ability to rearrange the world around her, creating pathways to solve puzzles and dispatch enemies.
- The Dragon Prince: Xadia – Based on the animated series, Xadia is a traditional isometric RPG that has you play as characters from the series. Boasts co-op gameplay and more.
- Minesweeper – Netflix has joined Microsoft in making their own version of the classic logic puzzle. Functionally the same as any other, but with a nicer coat of paint and a ‘world tour’ style mode.
- Sports Sports – Just in time for the Olympics, this retro series of micro-games has you compete in various athletic contests, creating your own avatar to do so.
- Too Hot to Handle 3 – If you’re a fan of the reality dating show, you’ll probably like this. For the rest of us, it’s fairly simple visual novel fare.
Netflix stays strong
Previously, we’ve had doubts about Netflix’s gaming platform and its offerings, particularly because some of their excellent games haven’t received enough attention. However, the fact that they seem committed to this venture in the long term is promising. A game like “Arranger” has piqued our interest, and including a timeless classic such as Minesweeper only adds to the fun.
