  • Over 120 hours of gameplay
  • Two modes to tinker around with
  • Isometric grid-based combat

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Sword of Convallaria has piqued my interest like no other JRPG in recent memory. With over 120 hours of gameplay, it’s a commitment I’m more than willing to make, especially given the pedigree of composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, whose work on Final Fantasy Tactics is still etched in my gaming memory.

XD recently unveiled the official debut of Sword of Convallaria, their JRPG, which blends classic charm with stunning contemporary graphics. Fresh from a successful stint at Steam Next Fest, this JRPG offers more than 120 hours of authentic gameplay and captivating soundtracks composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto, renowned for his work on Final Fantasy Tactics.

In the game “Sword of Convallaria,” you’ll embark on an exciting journey to save the world filled with vibrant fantasy characters. Save the nation of Iria by engaging in strategic battles on a grid-style battlefield, complete with isometric combat and intriguing political mysteries to unravel.

You have two options to explore: the solo, open-ended adventure titled “Spiral of Destinies,” or the online version offering weekly quests and allowing you to join forces with fellow enthusiasts within your personal guild.

In one game, you’ll encounter ten diverse endings, where your decisions as a player shape the alliances within the Union of Knight States, the Kingdom of Iria Armed Forces, and the Papal States, among others. On the other hand, the second game puts you in charge of assembling a team of mercenaries on a mission to save the world.

“Orge Battle left a profound impact on me, leading me to develop a fondness for Strategy Role-Playing Games (SRPGs),” shares Guo Lei, Game Director at XD’s Sword of Convallaria. “The process of collaborating with our talented development team, voice actors, and Mr. Sakimoto on this grand adventure has been exhilarating. We eagerly anticipate players experiencing the outcome.”
