‘Power Rangers’ Star Hector David Jr. Wanted in Connection With Idaho Assault

As a long-time fan who fondly remembers cheering for Hector David Jr., the Green Ranger from my cherished childhood shows, I’m left feeling incredibly disheartened and saddened by this recent news. The Green Samurai Ranger was always a beacon of hope, justice, and courage in those action-packed episodes, and it’s unfortunate to see someone who embodied such an iconic character accused of such disturbing behavior.

Law enforcement officials in Idaho have put out a warrant for the arrest of Hector David Jr., a former Power Rangers actor known for his role as the Green Ranger, due to allegations of assaulting an elderly individual.

On Wednesday, KTVB 7 news reported that Hector David Rivera, who is also known as David, has been accused of pushing an older gentleman to the ground following an argument in a parking lot located in Nampa, Idaho. A video shared on the Nampa Police Department’s Facebook page appears to depict the incident and apparently shows the 35-year-old man shoving a man in his sixties, causing him to fall to the ground before driving away. Remarkably, the elderly individual did not sustain any injuries.

From 2011 to 2015, David portrayed the Green Samurai Ranger in diverse Power Rangers productions. These included the television series Power Rangers Samurai, Power Rangers Megaforce, and the TV film Power Rangers Super Megaforce: The Epic Battle.

KTVB 7 reports that since the incident, David has deleted all of his social media.

I’m currently in Idaho, thrilled to be part of the Magic Valley Comic-Con in Twin Falls this weekend. However, I noticed recently that their website no longer lists my name among the attendees.
