Following the reveal of the vibrant Prospex Speedtimer model, Seiko has returned with an exclusive, limited edition Prospex model (from 1965) specifically designed for Europe.
Clad in a vibrant Gradation Island Blue dial, this latest model is an updated version of Seiko’s inaugural diver watch from 1965. Inspired by the tranquil allure and mysterious charm of the Greek Ionian islands, the graduated shades evoke images of white sandy coastlines and crystal-clear blue waters.
The watch, made of stainless steel, comes with a band also crafted from the same material. A striking navy blue bezel adds contrast, enhancing its appearance. Furthermore, the indices on the watch face are infused with Lumibrite for easy visibility even in dimly lit conditions.
The watch is powered by Seiko’s self-made 6R35 caliber, offering a power reserve of approximately 70 hours and maintaining an accuracy within -15 to +25 seconds per day.
Priced at approximately $1,655 USD or £1,290 GBP, the Seiko Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation is being launched as a limited series of 1,000 pieces, which can now be ordered through the Seiko Boutique website.
