As a seasoned trail runner myself, I’ve always been intrigued by the innovative designs and rugged durability of norda footwear. With my own experiences trekking through some of Canada’s toughest terrains, I can attest to the importance of having gear that can withstand the elements. This summer has been particularly exciting for norda, as they unveiled a new silhouette at the Hardrock 100 race, showcasing their dedication to pushing the boundaries of trail running footwear.
Two new styles of the low-profile, speed-focused model 002 have been unveiled. One is an earthy brown design with black accents and vibrant purple laces, while the other features a bright neon green color with white highlights and a gum sole. Additionally, there’s a fresh colorway of the original model 001, Norda’s first release, which boasts a thicker midsole and a trail-friendly feel. This new version comes in a white, light grey, and orange color scheme reminiscent of some 2023’s Zegna x Norda collaborations, but with a black tongue for distinction. As always with Norda, the shoes are both lightweight and incredibly durable due to their proprietary bio-based Dyneema uppers, Vibram SLE foam midsoles, and outsoles that integrate Vibram’s Megagrip and Litebase technologies.
In the meantime, Norda’s initial running sock design comes as a crew style, offering options in both cinder and black hues. This multi-material blend includes combed cotton, polyester, nylon, and elastane. It proudly features Norda’s embroidered shield logo and distinct topographical line detailing. Additionally, it is crafted with a cushioned, ventilated sole that has reinforcements in high-stress areas to improve durability.
