Kendall Jenner on How Growing Up in the Spotlight Was a “Little” Like Hannah Montana

As a devoted fan who has admired Kendall Jenner‘s journey since her days on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” I must say, her recent interview on the “Anything Goes” podcast was both enlightening and heartwarming. It’s fascinating to see how her life mirrored that of Hannah Montana, albeit without a disguise or physical shift.

Kendall Jenner openly discusses her experiences living under public scrutiny while growing up and the hurdles she faced during her teenage modeling career.

In a recent conversation on the “Anything Goes” podcast, the renowned model and influencer drew parallels between her upbringing under the public spotlight on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and the life of Hannah Montana, a character portrayed by Miley Cyrus in the popular Disney Channel series.

“Jenner compared it to being a bit like Hannah Montana, but clarified that she didn’t use a disguise or undergo any physical transformation.”

The television series titled “Hannah Montana,” airing from 2006 to 2011 over four seasons, depicted the life of Miley Stewart (portrayed by Cyrus), a regular teenage girl who conceals her identity as a renowned pop star, Hannah Montana.

“She mentioned that we attended school regularly, and this continued until we could. Later on, during her 11th and 12th grades, she switched to homeschooling. Despite having a TV show at home, we would still go to regular school during the day, maintaining our friendships with those we had before the show began.”

Jenner mentioned that although her life wasn’t always straightforward, growing up in the public eye seemed routine to her. She expressed gratitude for being able to lead as normal a life as could be expected under the circumstances.

When “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” debuted in 2007, catapulting their family into stardom, Jenner was just 10 years old. She reminisced about herself and her younger sister Kylie Jenner having to handle mature responsibilities at a tender age. Yet, she expressed gratitude overall, stating that “I think it could have been much more challenging.”

During her adolescence a few years back, Kendall embarked on her modeling journey. She admitted to Chamberlain that she’s been quite fortunate within this field and generally had a very positive experience, but also shared about encountering some obstacles.

“Kendall acknowledged that while they’ve been quite fortunate, they haven’t had the most difficult path in life. However, they’ve faced their own struggles, such as working too much or missing out on desired job opportunities.”

The celebrity from the Kardashian clan expressed that at times, life could feel incredibly isolating while traversing the globe for work as a teenager, spending extended stretches away from loved ones like family and companions.

“Kendall mentioned that there have been extremely tough times for her when she’s found herself in unfamiliar cities, breaking down and sobbing as she fell asleep, because it had been three months since she last saw home. She has also experienced moments of doubt and questioning the value of everything, asking herself ‘What is happening here, is this all worth it?'”
