A Yellowstone Star Just Wrapped On The Series And Landed A Sweet Message From Kelly Reilly And Others

As a long-time fan of the captivating world of Yellowstone, I can’t help but feel a tinge of nostalgia as Wendy Moniz wraps up her tenure as Senator Lynelle Perry. Having followed this series since its inception, it feels like bidding farewell to an old friend who’s been part of the family for seven years.

The month of August 2024 has been brimming with significant news regarding the upcoming “Yellowstone” series, including the thrilling casting announcements for the spinoff, which is no longer using its temporary title of 2024. However, before we delve into further updates, it’s crucial that the original drama wraps up its storyline first. The final episodes of Season 5 are scheduled to debut on Paramount Network in November. This upcoming return now seems more real with one cast member confirming they have finished filming their character’s part.

Indeed, Yellowstone hasn’t wrapped up all filming for Season 5 just yet, but Wendy Moniz, who plays Senator Lynelle Perry, has shared on Instagram that she has completed her storyline for now. Here’s a heartfelt message from Wendy that has prompted warm reactions from fellow cast members like Kelly Reilly and more. Take a look below!

Wrapping up Series on Yellowstone 🎬, and I’ve been feeling a whirlwind of emotions – sentimental, proud, grateful to name a few. It’s been an amazing journey for me here; I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked alongside so many gifted, dedicated, and kind individuals since 2017. I finished my last scene on August 1st, which coincidentally was the same date two years ago when I shared a gratitude post…talk about serendipity!

Moniz has shared that her last scenes as Lynelle were aired on August 1st, and just like the audience, she’s eagerly awaiting the remaining episodes of Season 5 to be broadcast on TV. However, unlike viewers, she’s privy to what lies ahead, while they’ll have to wait a few more months in anticipation.

It remains uncertain if Lynelle’s storyline will carry over into future series or if it will conclude in the main show. Given that her character isn’t central to the ongoing plot and is closely connected to Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, who won’t be appearing anymore, it seems likely she’ll depart earlier than other cast members. However, since her role as a senator adds significant importance beyond any romantic ties, I’m relieved that Moniz’s character wasn’t marginalized solely due to John’s absence.

Absolutely, viewers are anticipating significant deaths to unfold during the latter part of the season, and it’s possible that Lynelle could be among those in danger. Fingers crossed that the show avoids portraying political assassinations. The comments from co-stars Kelly Reilly and Hassie Harrison suggest a positive atmosphere on set after Moniz finished filming, so let’s focus on their upbeat spirits rather than speculating about Lynelle’s character’s possible demise. Instead, let’s delve into the cheerful vibes they shared instead of dwelling on her character’s potential downfall.

  • Kelly Reilly: Wendy !!! I adore you .. we all do . You have just been so amazing to work with all these years !!! Congratulations 🎈

  • Mary McCormack: Mazel tov Wen. You were so good in this. The best. ❤️❤️❤️

Apart from the heartfelt praise given by Beth Dutton and Laramie’s talented actresses, Wendy Moniz also received encouraging remarks from J.E. Tracy, who plays Ellis Steele, and Nic Sheridan, wife of a co-creator. Additionally, notable actresses outside the Yellowstone universe, such as comedian Chelsea Handler and Mary McCormack from Heels, have also expressed their appreciation for Wendy Moniz’s work.

As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share that “Yellowstone” is back on Paramount Network this coming Sunday, November 10! Stay tuned for further updates about the sequel series and potential additions to the franchise starring Kurt Russell, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Patrick J. Adams. There are also rumors of Matthew McConaughey’s departure from the show. For a sneak peek at what else is coming up on your TV screens before 2024, check out our 2024 TV premiere schedule!
