‘Queen Charlotte’ Star India Amarteifio, ‘Maxton Hall’ Actor Damian Hardung to Lead Coming-of-Age Film

As a passionate moviegoer who appreciates heartfelt, well-crafted stories that resonate with audiences worldwide, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming film “Into The Deep Blue,” starring India Amarteifio and Damian Hardung. With their exceptional talent and moving performances in projects like “Queen Charlotte” and “Maxton Hall – The World Between Us,” respectively, these two promising stars are set to captivate our hearts once again.

India Amarteifio, who plays the leading role in Netflix’s prequel series to Bridgerton, titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, will be starring in a new romance story that follows the journey of growing up. Joining her will be Damian Hardung from Maxton Hall.

The screenplay titled “Into The Deep Blue” won the Nicholl Fellowship, given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This story revolves around Nick (Hardung) and Fiona (Amarteifio), who initially met in group therapy and are trying to rebuild their lives following a tragic loss. A weekend trip unearths the growing emotions between them, making it more likely for them to part ways rather than confront their feelings. As the synopsis goes, “It’s possible they might cut each other off before acknowledging what they feel.”

The screenplay penned by author and novelist Jennifer Archer recently won the 2022 Nicholl Fellowship. In the near future, a novel version based on the movie is set to be published as well.

Hardung is presently headlining “Maxton Hall – The World Between Us,” a record-breaking international debut on Amazon, which was also the most-streamed international series during its first week.

Amarteifio gained significant recognition for playing the lead character in “Queen Charlotte,” a show that accumulated more than 307 million watch hours.

The movie is set to be filmed in the United Kingdom, under the guidance of director Jonathan Wright, who is renowned for his work on Sony’s “Awakening The Zodiac.” Producers Aletha Shepherd and Jennifer Presser from Shot of Tea production company are involved in the project.

As a dedicated admirer, I’m absolutely thrilled about this upcoming movie! It’s an extraordinary tale that beautifully explores grief, friendship, and personal development. I can hardly contain my excitement as I embark on this creative journey alongside this exceptional team of artists. We are beyond elated to have India and Damian breathe life into these intricate characters. Their raw talent is truly awe-inspiring, and I believe they will elevate the film to unprecedented heights!

Release details are yet to be announced.
