Growing up, I was a devoted fan of Real Madrid, and Zidane, alongside Ronaldo, defined the galácticos era for me. So, to have the opportunity to re-live their legendary careers within the game is nothing short of exhilarating!
In the Career Mode of EA Football Club 25, the inclusion of Icons has undeniably garnered significant interest. Notably, a select few legendary players are exclusively available for those who purchase the game before its official release.

- Zinedine Zidane (France)

At the game’s release, there will be additional options beyond the three mentioned initially. However, the legendary trio are only accessible to those who pre-order EA FC 25. Regardless if you opt for the Standard or Ultimate Edition of the game, you’ll still receive these three as part of your purchase, so there’s no need to worry about choosing a more exclusive edition.
If you didn’t know already, these Icons offer you an opportunity to experience their glorious careers or start from a less prominent position to craft your own tale. Given their stature as three of the sports’ greatest legends, it’s not unexpected that EA chose these powerhouses of the ’90s and 2000s.
I’ve got a strong interest in Zidane, him being one of my idols from childhood who epitomized the Galácticos era at Real Madrid, alongside Ronaldo. Perhaps we could recreate the 2006 World Cup final, and this time, resist the urge to headbutt!
Will the pre-order Icons expire?
In an interview with GGRecon, EA Sports Line Producer Andreas Wilsdorf shared that the three Icons offered as pre-order bonuses for Career Mode in their games will not expire or be replaced. He explained that while some may eventually disappear, “the pre-orders will never go away.” This means if you buy the game before it’s released, these special items will remain with your account permanently.
This is fantastic news as while the standard selection will be constantly shifted to give players new options, you’ll never not be able to dive into another journey with Zidane, Ronaldo, or Beckham.
