As a fashion enthusiast who has been around the block a few times, I must say that the revamped Louis Vuitton Millionaires sunglasses have truly caught my eye (and wallet). Having lived through the original release in 2004, it’s fascinating to see how Pharrell Williams, a man whose style is as iconic as his music, has breathed new life into this fashion landmark.


Louis Vuitton marks the 20th year of their Millionaires sunglasses by reviving the classic design, overseen by Pharrell Williams, the brand’s present Men’s Creative Director. Previously partnering with NIGO and Marc Jacobs to launch the Millionaires in 2004, Pharrell now offers a contemporary take on this fashion milestone.

The refreshed collection includes two unique designs: the 1.0 and the 3.0. The 1.0 takes inspiration from its original design, providing a luxurious aviator shape accented with classic LV details. Gold-toned metal bands embossed with the Monogram pattern accentuate the straight browline, while enameled S-shaped hinges lend a vintage feel. Oozing timeless elegance, these sunglasses come in options of chocolate tortoise with gradient lenses and turquoise-blue hinges or a minimalist black design.

To bring a contemporary flair, the 3.0 model presents groundbreaking materials and aesthetics. Constructed from lightweight carbon fiber often utilized in luxury vehicles, these sunglasses offer a harmonious blend of resilience and sophistication. The 3.0 showcases stylish silver hinges subtly embossed with the LV logo and metal strips adorned with the Damier pattern on the upper side. Available in black with vibrant orange lenses for a daring, forward-looking design or in discreet monochromatic black, the 3.0 represents the pinnacle of modern fashion.
