Celine Dion criticized both Donald Trump and J.D. Vance for playing her hit song “My Heart Will Go On” during their political rally in Montana last Friday.
The management team put out a statement, speaking on behalf of the artist and their recording company, regarding the utilization of the famous “Titanic” track.
Today, it was discovered that someone has been using Celine Dion’s song “My Heart Will Go On” and her performance of it without permission at a political rally for Donald Trump and JD Vance in Montana. This unauthorized usage of her video, recording, musical performance, and likeness was addressed by her official social media account.
The continuation stated, “This usage is absolutely unauthorized, and Celine Dion does not support it or any related activities… And by the way, isn’t that her song?”

During Trump’s presidency, various musicians have criticized his campaign for playing their songs without obtaining proper authorization. Artists such as Rihanna, Axl Rose, The Rolling Stones, and even Neil Young took legal steps to prevent Trump from using their music. In fact, Neil Young went so far as to sue the former president over this issue.
Trump was told off by Prince’s and Sinead O’Connor’s families, as well as Tom Petty’s, for playing their songs “Purple Rain,” “Nothing Compares 2 U,” and “I Won’t Back Down” at his campaign events in 2020 without their permission.
