Shah Rukh Khan says Aryan Khan looked like Jackie Chan when he was born: ‘I trained him in taekwondo assuming…’

As a long-time admirer and follower of Bollywood, I have always been captivated by the charisma and talent of Shah Rukh Khan. His recent recognition at the 77th Locarno Film Festival with the Pardo alla Carriera was truly well-deserved.

Shah Rukh Khan recently attended the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where he received a lifetime achievement award known as the Pardo alla Carriera or Career Leopard. In an engaging conversation, he expressed his admiration for Jackie Chan and mentioned that when his son Aryan Khan was born, he believed the young boy bore a striking resemblance to the international movie star.

At the lively Film Festival dialogue, I had the pleasure of engaging in a comprehensive chat with none other than Shah Rukh Khan. In this conversation, we delved deeply into both his personal and professional journeys. Among various topics, he fondly discussed his all-time favorite actor – the legendary Jackie Chan. With great admiration, SRK praised him as a man of humor and incredible physical prowess, an actor who truly excels in his craft. To put it simply, he continues to inspire me, Jackie Chan.

Furthermore, the star from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai also expressed that upon the birth of Aryan Khan, he noticed a striking similarity between him and Jackie Chan.

He said, “When my first son was born, Aryan, I felt he looked like Jackie Chan. You know, when kids are born, they looks a bit like (makes facial expression). He’s like Jackie Chan. He looked very Jackie Chan-ish to me. Then I trained him in taekwondo assuming he’ll grow up to be Jackie Chan. I really wanted him to be Jackie Chan, I’m telling you honestly.”

Moreover, King Khan remembered encountering the global icon several years ago in Saudi Arabia. He noted that he was just as kind and modest as he had anticipated. Additionally, the actor brought up their past interaction, mentioning that Chan had pledged to open a Chinese restaurant in partnership with him.

In his 2011 movie Ra.One, Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged paying homage to Jackie Chan, a beloved actor who joins his list of all-time favorites that includes Michael J Fox, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro.

In terms of professional endeavors, Shah Rukh Khan is slated to appear in the movie “King,” directed by Sujoy Ghosh, alongside his daughter Suhana Khan. Simultaneously, his son Aryan is gearing up for his directorial debut with the web series titled “Stardom.” This project has been written and directed by young Aryan himself.

Under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, the upcoming series features Lakshya Lalwani as one of its primary actors.
