Freakier Friday Star Dishes About Body Swapping Again
It feels like just yesterday when filming began for Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan on Freakier Friday back in June. However, this production wouldn’t have been realized without the creative mind of author Mary Rodgers, who wrote the 1972 children’s novel, Freaky Friday. Disney initially adapted this story in 1976 with their movie version, showcasing the body-swapping escapades of teenager Annabel Andrews (Jodie Foster) and her mother Ellen (Barbara Harris).
In a departure from the original, the 2003 remake of “Freaky Friday” took some creative liberties, notably renaming the characters Tess and Anna Coleman instead of Curtis and Lohan. However, this revamped version proved to be a worldwide success, with earnings of $160.8 million (as reported by Box Office Mojo) against an initial investment of just $20 million. The actress who played the lead role, Lindsay Lohan, is thrilled about her upcoming big-screen reunion in “Freakier Friday”. She recently shared details about this new film in an interview with ABC News’ Nightline (as seen below).
