As a die-hard space exploration enthusiast who’s been waiting since the turn of the century for a game that truly captures the vastness and mystery of the cosmos, I can hardly contain my excitement! Bethesda’s announcement about the Shattered Space DLC for Starfield has sent ripples of anticipation through the galaxy. The teaser at Gamescom 2024, with its quick glimpse of the new REV-8 land vehicle, was just a tantalizing appetizer. But the main course is what I’ve been craving—the first DLC for this epic space odyssey.

Starting tonight (August 20), these land vehicles will be accessible to players as part of a complimentary update, although it’s clear that this wasn’t the main announcement.

In a fleeting sneak peek of Shattered Space, the trailer hinted at the release date for the first Starfield DLC: September 30. With about a month left before launch, the developer has ample opportunity to reveal more details, generating excitement for potential alien creatures lurking in the cosmos.
