As a seasoned observer of the Hindi film industry and having had the privilege to witness the evolution of some truly exceptional talent, I must say that Ranbir Kapoor’s journey has been nothing short of captivating. His ability to embody characters with such depth and nuance is truly remarkable, and his upcoming role as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana only serves to solidify his status as a versatile actor.

As a die-hard fan of cinematic brilliance, I can’t help but exclaim that I’m thrilled to my bones about the exceptional talent that is Ranbir Kapoor! His movies such as Rockstar, Sanju, Barfi, and Tamasha are undeniable testaments to his immense skill in the Hindi film industry. Now, the anticipation has reached new heights, for I’ve heard the exciting news that Ranbir will grace our screens as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s eagerly awaited epic, Ramayana! The casting director, Mukesh Chhabra, recently shared a tantalizing tidbit about Ranbir’s role in this two-part saga, praising his serene visage in the process. I can hardly wait to witness this masterful portrayal!

In a recent episode of The Ranveer Show, filmmaker Mukesh Chhabra discussed the reasons behind casting Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of the Ramayana.

Chhabra commented, “There’s a sense of calmness on his face, which was essential for the movie. Nitesh Tiwari had considered him for the role long ago. Indeed, it was an excellent decision, and you will understand its wisdom after seeing the film.”

In various films like Tamasha, Rockstar, Bombay Velvet, Sanju, and Brahmastra, Chhabra has partnered with Ranbir. Additionally, the casting director teamed up with him for Tai Tai Phish, a track from Chillar Party. The casting director admitted that it’s challenging to surpass Ranbir in acting skills. Furthermore, the actor from Ramayana remains impartial towards successes and failures as he places importance on his performances.

Mukesh Chhabra explained his methodology for selecting actors for Ramayana by noting that it’s not something that can be planned or controlled for such films. He emphasized that when choosing cast members, they must stay true to their approach and select actors who seem fitting for the roles in the film. When questioned about casting actors for Ramayana, Chhabra mentioned that he looks for individuals whose energy aligns with the movie’s spirit.

Additionally, Chhabra disclosed that the selection process for Ramayana: Part Two’s cast is already underway. Not specifically naming the project, the casting director explained that he often selects well-known actors to portray character roles, taking into account their performances rather than their off-screen personas.

In addition to the two sections of the Ramayana, there’s a strong possibility that a standalone series focusing on Hanuman could be developed. If reports are accurate, this additional part might potentially extend the storyline in the future. The original Ramayana features Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
