After America's Got Talent Advanced My Season 19 Favorite To The Quarterfinals, Is Simon Cowell Hinting At More Spinoff Action?

As a seasoned gamer of reality TV competitions, I’ve seen my fair share of twists and turns, but the latest hints dropped by Simon Cowell about potential spinoffs have me buzzing with anticipation! The way he subtly nudged LiV Warfield towards a future in the AGT universe left me pondering if she’ll be back to grace our screens once more.

The stakes are rising as America’s Got Talent enters its quarterfinals in Season 19, and with more golden buzzers added this round, the pressure must be intense for the competitors. Luckily, my preferred contestant from Season 19 has made it past the first quarterfinals results episode (streaming exclusively on Peacock Premium). However, what’s most intriguing might not be that Richard Goodall is advancing; rather, comments from Simon Cowell hint at a potential spinoff season.

Former janitor Richard Goodall, now an “AGT” contestant, left a powerful impact with his rendition of “Don’t Stop Believin'” during his audition, and later impressed with Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” in the quarterfinals, receiving a lot of praise. Simon Cowell offered some constructive criticism along with compliments, and I wasn’t concerned about whether he would gather enough votes to move on after his performance.

Although Cowell didn’t explicitly mention another show in the subsequent results episode, he has a track record of hinting at acts that may reappear in spin-offs. During this instance, Cowell offered supportive remarks for singer LiV Warfield, who had previously demonstrated her musical talent as a backup singer for Prince. Unfortunately, she was eliminated during Season 19 after the quarterfinals audience vote, and Cowell commented on Hypers Kids Africa moving forward instead of Warfield: a decision made by host Terry Crews.

Although I’m feeling let down at the moment, I truly and sincerely believe fantastic outcomes await you, given how extraordinary you all are. I sense that our paths will cross again in the future.

As a fan, it occurred to me right away that Simon Cowell might be aiming to help LiV Warfield further her career within the music industry by forging connections – but my thoughts instantly veered towards the possibility of a “spinoff” after his intriguing comment to the singer. Given that Mr. Cowell has previously hinted at spinoffs prior to their official announcements, and considering how America’s Got Talent already boasts numerous offshoots, it certainly seems like a plausible interpretation!

On the American side, the “America’s Got Talent” franchise includes “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League”, “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, “America’s Got Talent: All-Stars”, and “America’s Got Talent: Extreme”. Although it seems unlikely for Warfield to appear in the high-octane “Extreme” series, which had a single season of only four episodes, there’s a chance she could return for one of the other shows or even a new spinoff that hasn’t been created yet.

The newest spinoff, titled “AGT: Fantasy League,” features a unique twist with Mel B rejoining the panel alongside Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell. This version allows judges to resurrect past contestants and compete among themselves. At this moment, no decision has been made regarding a second season for “Fantasy League.” If it does get renewed, I believe LiV Warfield could be an excellent addition, although there might not be any official announcements about another show yet.
