One Big Reason Epic Universe's New Hotel Looks Like It May Become My New Favorite Theme Park Resort

As a seasoned gamer and theme park enthusiast with countless hours spent navigating virtual worlds and real-life attractions alike, I can confidently say that Universal Orlando Resort’s upcoming Helios Grand Hotel is shaping up to be the crown jewel of themed accommodations. With its prime location, seamless park access, and jaw-dropping views of Epic Universe’s Celestial Gardens, this hotel promises an unparalleled immersive experience that will leave even the most jaded theme park veteran breathless.

There are good theme park resort hotels, and then there are great theme park resort hotels. I’ve stayed in some of both, and while each has its charm, few reach the scale of Disneyland Grand Californian or Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. However, alongside a new theme park, Universal Orlando Resort and Lowes are building a new hotel, and it may have enough to be the best of them all.

For several months now, details about Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe have been gradually disclosed, with the unveiling of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic land in July completing the park and its lands and attractions. However, there are still a few aspects that remain undisclosed. This morning, Universal Destinations and Experiences shared some new insights about the Helios Grand Hotel, which might boast some of the most stunning views among any theme park hotel.

The Helios Grand Hotel Will Give Guests Incredible Views Of Epic Universe

At any theme park resort, one advantage of staying “on site” is being nearer to all the attractions and finding your way into the parks becomes more straightforward. However, not many theme park resorts can match the convenience that the Helios Grand offers for Epic Universe. This hotel is directly linked to the park itself, ensuring guests at the hotel will have a unique, exclusive entrance to the park.

1. Not only is the hotel’s entrance impressively stunning, making each guest feel unique, but its location near the park offers more than just quicker access to rides. It also provides breathtaking vistas of Epic Universe’s Celestial Gardens area. The lobby, with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, showcases the park, ensuring that even when relaxing in the lobby, you’ll enjoy a spectacular view.

Bar Helios Is Everything I Could Want From A Resort Lounge

But if anything, the view only gets better as you move up. The Helios Grand Hotel will include a rooftop bar, Bar Helios, which will offer drinks and tapas (say no more, I’m sold) with 360-degree views. You can bet those window seats with a view of Epic Universe will be in high demand, and I will certainly be trying to hold down a table every night. Epic Universe’s Celestial Gardens already sound incredible and I can’t wait to see them at night.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but get excited about the prospect of the Helios Grand at the upcoming Universal Kids Resort. This hotel won’t disappoint when it comes to the amenities you’d expect from a resort – there will be a lobby bar and restaurant, a pool with a bar, a coffee shop, a fitness center, and even a game room for some fun-filled downtime. What really catches my eye is the Kids’ Suites, adorned in a captivating ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ theme – perfect for any dragon-loving kid!

Information about when reservations can be made for the newly built resort is currently unavailable. The same goes for the opening of Epic Universe, as a specific date for public access has not been disclosed yet. It might be revealed in the coming month.
