This series is inspired by the Harvey Awards-nominated comic book title of the same name written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Mike Norton, which first appeared in the 2010s. What is Revival on SYFY about?

Every resident, whether alive or undead, could potentially be involved. This captivating ‘farm noir’ offers an innovative take on the zombie genre.
As crucial as my late sister Em is to the heart of the mystery in Revival, it seems she’s not staying deceased for long. It appears Em was murdered, but that’s just the start of another puzzle – understanding who killed her. To crack the case and bring justice for Em, I’ll need to dig deep and uncover the secret connections between my sister’s demise and the eerie supernatural awakening that’s stirred the town’s long-slumbering spirits from their Midwestern graves.
The Revival cast: Who will star in SYFY’s new series?
So far, there’s been no news about who might be cast to play Dana, Em, or any of the other characters in the SYFY series, whether they’re alive or undead. This series, however, is produced by Blue Ice Pictures, the same production company behind SYFY’s SurrealEstate.
In the summer of 2012, the comic book series titled Revival was introduced, instantly generating a significant amount of interest among television and movie production companies keen on adapting it for the screen. The comic itself, alongside creators Seeley, Norton, and cover artist Jenny Frison, garnered numerous accolades as Revival was shortlisted for three nominations at the Harvey Awards (an annual event honoring exceptional achievements in comics).
