Kartik Aaryan, known for his role in Chandu Champion, opened up about his journey as an outsider in Bollywood. He explained that it can be tough to secure opportunities and recognition when you’re new to the industry, and this struggle does take a toll. He added that learning the ropes, finding your place, and striving for equality is a constant battle in such circumstances.

In an interview with GQ India, actor Kartik Aaryan discussed his experiences dealing with mental health in the movie industry as an outsider. He pointed out the hurdles of obtaining chances and recognition, emphasizing that lacking connections within the industry can have its difficulties. Kartik also shared, “I’ve pondered over what my career might have been like if I had enjoyed the same advantages as someone who was already established in the business. It required significant self-reflection and personal growth to understand that being an outsider is not a disadvantage. All of my accomplishments thus far are a testament to my own perseverance.”

Previously, during an interview with Mid-day, director Kabir Khan emphasized that while box office earnings are important, they aren’t his main concern. He pointed out that any filmmaker who says the box office isn’t relevant is being insincere, as it does have an impact. Nevertheless, he feels that a film’s true success can be gauged by how it continues to be remembered and discussed in the future.

Kabir pointed out that both Chandu Champion and 83 have been rewatched frequently on streaming platforms, suggesting their enduring popularity. He added that repeated viewings of a movie signify the movie’s lasting impact. Meanwhile, the director reminisced about his first film, Kabul Express, which had disappointing box office returns but continues to garner praise 18 years later. This, he noted, underscores the diverse methods by which a film resonates with its audience.

In his latest movie titled “Chandu Champion,” actor Kartik Aaryan portrays the life story of Murlikant Petkar, the pioneer Indian Paralympic gold medalist. The film delves into different periods and obstacles faced by Petkar, emphasizing his victories in various sports such as wrestling and hockey. This film also signifies Kartik’s first joint venture with director Kabir Khan, and it is co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan.
